I'm not happy with my Edge EZ. Several reasons including not enough low end power, seems to only come alive at higher RPM's. I also have had troubles in having to disconnect/reconnect the connections to get rid of it stumbling after the connectors are together for a while. Yes, I used the dielectric grease and it still likes to be unplugged and plugged back in--reason unknown. I'm wondering if anyone has the Hypertech and what they like or dislike about it. thanks, Larry

 

It has been a long time since I read about the hypertech, but as I recall, the reviews weren't all that great. Hopefully someone else will chime in here about that. What I am thinking is you might want to check into the Catcher as it is a reflash of your ECM. Do a search. Perhaps it will be what you are looking for.

you are better of with the edge. If your not a warranty worrier upgrade to the comp you will be all

 

Thanks guys, I would like the comp, no warrantry anyways but I wish here were another way to go. I think perhaps I'll leave the fueling boxes alone and try injectors. Mine's an H.O. and i hear they work good. I'm tired of every extremely cold day or a rainy one to have to get out and unplug/replug the edge in.

 

If you aren't like the power of your ez, you will hate the power of the hypertech. I've dyno'd them on s.o. and h.o. trucks and on both the hypertech is about 25HP less than an edge ez. Plus the hypertech has no boost fooler so you cannot run a boost elbow or plug your wastegate. I have never heard of anyone having problems with the connections on an EZ. If its less than two years old send it back to edge. They will send you a new one.
