You'll have to get a hold of rjohnson and ask him which series it is. I bought the turbo off of him.

Mike, your not kidding about the HY35 laying down at WOT. I picked up a phenomenal amount of top end with the KSB-1.

You should try a set of twins. The feels like it’s kinda like hitting a strong power band. The first hit is at about 20psi and next starts to come at about 40psi. You look at your speedo, you’re over 100mph. I wonder what a big shot NOS system would feel like. I drove a truck with a small set of twins. The truck spooled nice, the mid range was good but the top started to fall off. Mine the mid range is strong and the top is still pretty decent. I'll need more fuel for a bigger set of turbo(s). The problem you never have too much power unless you’re almost out of demerits on your driver license.

They list a few different B-1's... one of which is the KSB-1.
They also have a KSB-1-2... a B1-2.... and Full B-1's.
The KSB-1, with EX4 exhaust and 4" downpipe is excellent for autos at altitude with up to 450 hp! That is what Big Blue has!

Cool thanks. So That would also make a decent top turbo on twins.......Those are a ways out though.....

IMHO, the KSB-1 is the perfect top turbo for a set of high HP twins (600+ HP).

Ok I'm being stupid. Piers lists these:
KSB-1 Bomber Mid to high hp with faster spoolup than B-1-2
KSB-1-2 Very fast spoolup, high altitude, automatic transmission
<---My choice
KSB-1-2-03 2003 bolt in turbo upgrade
B-1-2-tow Recommended for the tow vehicle with manual transmission
KSB-1-2-tow Recommended for towing with an automatic

I'm guessing the KSB-1-2 is what Bigblue has. That turbo is the one I'm eyeing after the tranny.

That would be the one I have. It really is very fast spooling. Especially with the catcher. Normal throttle input pre catcher I would hit 10 psi. Now I'm hitting 20psi with the same amount of throttle. It's insane. I haven't tested it in high altitudes yet because, well, high altitudes mean cold weather and I avoid them as much as possible.

The KSB-1-2 has a very tight turbine housing. It spools slightly faster than the KSB-1, but only slightly. And it runs out of top end pull a lot sooner. If any chance of adding more hp down the road, I would not go with the -2 model.
