HX40 vs HE351cw

HX40 vs HE351cw
I think its getting to be time for a turbo upgrade, on a budget of course! No sled pulls or drag racing any more, just need something that will keep the EGT's down a bit when towing.
Stock injectors are still working great, but if I do swap them out in a while I won't go much more than +40hp I'm sure. So I'm debating on either a HE351CW, or an HX40 hybrid. I'd like the 351 only because it'd be less down time with the truck, I need it almost every day. Converting to HX40 hybrid would take some time to get balanced/machined for new housing, I don't know of any shops withing driving distance that do the work either.
Any opinions? I'm leaning towards the HX40, keeping the stock ex. housing for a while. Does the 351 spool faster? How about EGT with that small housing? Right now with the gate set around 32-35 lbs I can bury the egt gauge with no load at high rpm, with no fuel plate. Obviously I don't do this with a trailer hooked up, but it still stays a little high even with the plate in, no problems running it around 1500 up a grade.
Thanks for any help.

If it were me and those were my two options, I'd go with the 351. It may have a smaller exhausing, but it's got a lot bigger WG and the compressor is bigger. Plus the 351 is a stronger unit. The hybrids are known for breaking.
