Hx40 or 3rd gen turbo?
Sorry guys but have anouther question??? I have been accumulating parts since I have been in Afganistan and I am planning on installing these on my leave in january S&B bhaf, mrbp 4 inch exhaust, adrenaline with pusle monitor, stage 5 jammers, airdog 150, big line kit, and built auto. My question is this would a hx 40 be better then a 3rd gen turbo? I have read big blues install of the third gen turbo on his truck and it seemed to do well. Would a hx40 be better??

imo if your going to be running that much fuel.. you should scrap the whole idea of runing a 40 or a 3rd gen turbo and by 62 or 64 sized turbo with a 14 cm exhaust housing because with that much fuel your able to run a bigger turbo.

I think with Adre and Jammers 5 your truck will smoke like a locomotive with any single turbo, at least until it builds up RPM and boost. I think you might need twins or a large single.

What's 500 bucks, thats only 62.5% more money!
There are places to get a 62mm S300 for 1100 but you get a nonwastegated housing. Great for spoolup if sized properly, not so great for topend flow. Wastegating gives you good spoolup and good topend flow.

This sounds like what I am looking for, of course with an external wastegate in a twins application.
