for efficiency reasons 35 psi is all the more you want after that you're pushing it out of it's map. That being said I have pushed mine past 55psi more times than I can count and it aint scattered yet.(knocks on wood).

Willy91 is correct but I blew mine up when the waste gate stuck or something last I saw I was over 48psi ( and rising fast) and BOOOOOM. Had to pull the head and IC and clean all the aluminium out of it and off of the valves and seats and lap them back in. Not fun. You don't gain anything over 35psi so why risk it, if you want more than that get a new turbo. Put an adjustable boost elbow in yours and set it at 35psi.

I wonder what you feel your gaining by a silly comment like this???

Once the HX35,HY35 or WH1C goes above the already stated 35 psi all your doing is super heating the air, which is warm enough already. So throw in all your fuel, add the extra rotating weight for the 35" tires and add your boost levels,it all equals a meltdown due to heat and stupidity.......Andy

I guess most people just like to brag about boost #'s even if it is making less power than the guy with 10psi less.

Mine was not on purpose but to each there own

if you dont see much smoke then you probibly wont gain much by adjusting it. im not compleatly shure how the j-hook works but im guessing its like my adjustable elbow, id say it couldnt hurt to play with it and see if you see any difference.

Just curious you guys saying your getting this 40psi+ with stock turbo have yall actually seen if your turbo has any play in it? I bet IF yall have been seeing that high of boost for a while yall have some play possibly and that will start to equal BOOM! Just be careful everything is made a little different so some may be stronger than others.

I keep very close tabs on what my truck is doing and check stuff over at least once evry 2 weeks or so, my turbo is in perfect shape still after about 6 months of 50+ psi boost levels. I'm not saying it's good to run it that high, or that anyone should, but I'm upgrading in a few weeks anyways so it'll be aight.

Just keep telling yourself that. Not saying that it will but mine never went over 40 till that day. It was in great shape too. I wish you good luck and hope you dont have the out come as me

P.S. there is no warning before it goes, just a big BOOOM and then the truck falls on its face and you are on foot. Sleep well.

Smokinrod did over 620hp with 42psi of boost from a Garrett 4202.

Boost is not hp. More is not always better.

You're on borrowed time.

Not every animal that crosses the Interstate gets flattened. But I've seen lots of roadkill.
