HTT Super Stock 62 users?
I think decided to go with this turbo, ~500Hp in the end, mostly racing/street, light if any towing. 62/71/14. I just want to hear from someone who has used the exact turbo, any surging or huge lag? I don't expect there to be, but then again I don't have one yet Thanks for the input.
Also, when adding HP to try to get my approx range, how much does the turbo itself add? Provided what's in my sig, plus 150 HP inj. Is there a number that the turbo will add on top of that?

I love mine! It took a little time to get used to since it builds boost differantly than the stocker but it didn't take longe at all to avoid surgeing. That was a problem only when I was not aware of how I should be building boost. You will also see that it will run a bit warm down low do not fret this like I did in the begining as soon as it spools this goes away preaty much. This turbo needs to be eased in but once boost has begun it will rocket to 50 like nothing. You will love it with a five speed for sure. But keep in mind this is with out a doubt a performance turbo,I can only describe it like driving a small block Cheby keep the RR's up and it will sing let them drop and it will smoke a nd lag. There will be a bit more than the stocker but not much. Get it and you will love it if you like to beat on your ride like I do!! One of the best things about it is it's one of the best top turbo's out there for a mean set of twins just put an s400 s480 under it and then your talking some real power. Oh I don't see any injectors in your signiture you will need more fuel lots of more,a nice set of DDp4's will do .........Enjoy

Not really. Turbos don't "add" power, per se-- they just "allow" it.
A Comp + 150hp injectors is darn close to 500hp with enough air. Realistically, though, it's closer to 460-475. A lot depends on how big the turbo is and the quality of your injectors. A large turbo will make more peak HP, but at the expense of spoolup.
For example, that HTT 62 will spool pretty well and probably fall short of 500hp.
But if you swapping in a SP66 for the same amount of fuel, you'd probably pick up 25-50 more hp. But lag would also increase drastically.
Since live in Coors country, you are wise to be focused on spoolup and driveability over max hp.

I have tried a few sets of sticks with this turbo & I've found that the Dragon fly injectors from Industrial Injection are a perfect match. With the Adrenaline, I am seeing the boost gauge start moving at 1300rpm, by 1400rpm I have 10psi when I'm on the fuel. I've run bigger sticks & It smoked terribly off idle. The Dragon fly don't smoke without a box & they idle smooth.

I miss my 64 but the 62/71 gave me 50 hp on the dyno and really shines up top.

I wouldn't call it lazy at all I would say with the 13ss housing it's slightly slower to spool than stock and I also believe there is a bit of a learning curve to maximize it's potential. I just wish I had the money for a set of better injectors I believe once I get better sticks I will really begin to enjoy it.....

I'd say that it depends not only on elevation etc., but gearing is the biggest factor. My turbo spools fast because I have a perfect combo between injectors/turbo with 4.10 gears.

Is there any difference between HTT's 62/71/14 and I.I.'s SuperPhatShaft 62? They both have the same measurements, but was wondering if any kind of different work is done to the housings, or if the wheels are any different (fin count, cliped, etc.)?

55psi at 3K elevation is well over 5:1 PR.
The map for the 62 doesn't even extend that far. The map is ragged edged out at about 3.8 PR. (about 37psi).
Not bad for a completely undersized turbo. Things only get worse on the street-- I'm sure he's well over 60psi on the street, eh?
For best efficiency, twins should be used imo at pressures over 45psi or so (I know, seems low, eh?)
