Htt Manifold And Pre Tapped Pyro

Well, short trip in state went well. Delaware is so darn flat but there are some slight inclines where even before the old dodge would sputter, now I am guessing I have had no boos at all. She pulled great with the EZ and the boost fixed.
EGT"s only hit 998 and that was mainly b/c I was stomping on her good from a red light, boost hit 27.8 at that time. At what EGT temp should one set their warning at so as to make sure they don't stay over it too long. I set gauge at 1200, figuring it would likely hit it this coming weekend in PA. This will be the real test. Just wondering if one can run sustained temps at 1200-1300 or even 1400 on mountain climbs and be ok?
Thanks guys.

Towing your 5th wheel I would set it at 1150* and not exceed that for more than 10sec. This is on the conservative side...but a good rule of thumb, IMO.

Cummins says 1250*f is safe all day long. Only thing at that temp for long periods, your cooling system might not keep up. Keep it below 1300-1400 for short periods.

Thanks guys, I have it set currently at 1250, will change back to maybe 1200 and make sure I keep eye on it next week and see how she does. Next weekend will be one of my harder pulls that I will have for awhile. After that I will know whether I need to add some new injectors and exhaust as well as trans upgrades.
Take care and thanks for the input!
