Ok guys my setup is in my sig..
The HTB2 is good for 450-500HP
The HTBG is good for 350-425HP
I WAS running an HX40 with 16cm non-wastegated housing for about 2k miles.. THEN I put in a set of Scheids delivery valves in and blew it up (45PSI boost vs poorly balanced turbo).
HTB2 & HTBG are fairly close in price.. but the HTB2 is on a backlog for 3 weeks.
I don't think I want any more power than what I have.. for now.. I cannot afford to rework the tranny at this time.
I'm thinking if I can clear up a little of my smoke and cool my EGT's enough to tow, I will be happy until I can afford more mods..
Can I hear some opinions please?
I want to keep this under $1500 with downpipe..

I just made the switch from the HTBG to the HTB2 and it was a good one. Spoolup is so close to the same you really cant tell. The top end between the two is a diff. story. The HTB2 moves alot more air to cool the egts better and help clear up the smoke. Either turbo from HTT would be an excellant choice but I would wait the three weeks for the HTB2.

don't do the HTBG... I've held one in my hands... it's smaller than the HX40... it's a box stock Schwitzer turbo model S300G... it's a decent turbo, but hold out for a nice custom built turbo... or buy a used 40 ![Wink](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
