I just got my HTB2 today, I want to know who has the best idea of how to make the downpipe, and who knows where to get the parts to make it.
V-band,elbows-45*+60*, flange and a short stright pipe I don"t like the idea of paying $75.00 for a clamp and flange. I did find several places on the web that sell 180* bends that I can get the 50* + 60* bends that everyone talked about needing to get the downpipe perfect, but I will have to hunt them down again.
I know you talked about this stuff in another thread so I thought I would start a new one on just the downpipe.
Any help you can give on making a downpipe for a HTB2 will help myself and everyone else buying one in the future.
THANKS CRIS.

you'll have to wait till Monday, but Keith at Diesel Dynamics sells a machined flange for like $35. It took me a while to track one down, but when I got my HX40, he really helped me out.
Tell him Forrest Nearing sent you.![Big Grin](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
the clamp can be purchased at any truck supply shop. technicly it's considered a 3.50" v-band clamp. I think I paid $8-10 for mine.
this is the best source for bends I've found as they allow you to pick from a number of different radii and leg lengths, and they're cheaper than everyone else to boot!![Big Grin](https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

THANKS FORREST.
I'll get in touch with them this week. I'm not in a hurry because I don't have all my other parts on order yet. As money comes in I will buy more parts. (exhaust man,injectors,intake,GSK,valve-springs)
Anyone out there who has any ideas on what parts to use I'm still open for ideas.

High Tech Turbo now offers a 4" downpipe that bolts right on , I think. You might give them a call. About $160 for the setup. I am ordering a HTb2 tomorrow with the downpipe. They said it would bolt right up and slide over my 4" exhaust. He is having them made somewhere. Must be a new product or something.

Diesel exhaust supply houses around here carry the v-band clamp and adaptor.
The clamp runs $17.
There are 2 different adaptors which can be used. One is off a some Detroit Diesel application (has a 60* flange) and the other is off a Cummins (I can't remember which one right now, but it has a 45* flange). The flange on the turbo is 60*. Each adaptor is under $8.
The adator can be welded to a HX40 down pipe, if you have one avialable.
I built my own down pipe using 60* and 45* elbows, and used a HX40 down pipe as the pattern. The result turned out pretty good and it was an easy project.
You'll love the HT2B.

Does the HTB2 and the B1 have the flange angle and use the same clamp? What about the hx40 there different then the HTB2 and the B1s right? If I buy a B1 downpipe will I still need to change the flange and clamp?
THANKS CRIS.
