HT4C substitutes

I know there is a Schwitzer turbo (4LHR) that subs for the HT3B, but what about the HT4C? What Schwitzer or Garrett turbos sub for the HT4C. What other turbos are similar in size to the HT4C? Thanks SS

The B-2 seems to be a nice turbo but like all of them they can be better, even the Big Brother could use some tinkering!

A B2 would be nice but I can't find that in my local wrecking yard. I check every week but still don't find anything bigger than the HT3B off of the 855ci. What kind of motors use turbos the size of the HT4C? Thanks SS

In your opinion, what does it need? Have any failed that you know of? Either the B-2 or the BB?

They could use a few little PDR Tricks, nothing major as far as I see it. BOTW if your waiting for me to talk bad about them, then I would be talking bad about what I own.

Just little ole' Jim

Wow, those are pretty!!!!

Just wondering what you found was wrong with the B-2 and the BB. Did you have these "PDR tweaks" done on yours?

Don,,

You know anything and everything can use tweaks right out of the box.

I haven't seen anything that couldn't have been made better with some minor tweaking.

Jim, I'm installing mine today also !! Wanna come over and help?

I don't have the $ to plate 'em like you did,, I had to just paint 'em

I'm also installing my custom built T-Case, and doing some other Wal-Mart paint jobs on the truck. (My Favorite Kind! LOL)
(I was supposed to install yesterday,,, but plans change )

How long are you going to let them break in before you get on 'em ?

Actually there not plated there just polished, probably have 15-20 hours in that alone, I may plate them HPC later but as soon as I know the cold and intake pips don't need any tweaks they will be HPC coated.

On the break in I'll drive it around for a few hundred then let it go, neither turbo will be working hard.

I painted 'em last night, and I thought they looked good, but,, now,,, the morning after,, I realize I must have been WAYY To Tired, LOL. They don't look bad though... I'm "Chroming" a Driveshaft right now.

Darn,, Polished,, I take it you did it yourself?

That's very nice. I don't think my paint will last as long as your Polish

I think I'm going to try and give mine a 200Mile break-in. My last set of turbos picked up nearly 10PSI in 100 miles. I wasn't too nice to them,, I was much to greedy, LOL. I'm trying to make these last much longer. (Not that *I* messed up the other ones) I just feel I broke them in to fast cause I was very ready to see what they would do!

What can you compare a hx60 to? A ht3b,b2,big brother or other?
& would the hx60 make a good big turbo in a twin setup.
Kurt.

I got my Driveshaft Chromed very nicelyt today,, took me about 3 hours to sand, prime and paint.

I got my t-Case dropped, but, didn't get the new one in, and I couldn't find my Oil Drains for my Turbos !

Looks like schedule is behind ANOTHER day.

Good Job Jim! Those look real nice !

I think you'll need to borrow my slicks next time we are at an event together.
