While we're on the 3b questions, where do you find the 5 inch 90 degree intake hose for the twin setups at. It looks like it has to be a real sharp bend to get out of there. Thanks,Gary

Depends on where you put the HT3B.
It is a pretty long turbo. I used a 45* 5.5" to 4" reducer and ran the 4" filter pipe up to a 14" long AFE.
I really like the S400 better. Its much shorter and the rotation makes fitting the cold pipe much easier, and the down pipe is also easier to fit up.
RDLeader (Roman) is using a modded S300G that I had built and also a S400. He should finish fabrication this week. I will have to let you know on how is comes out.
The S400 can be bought for $50 more then a HT3B. Might want to look at that option. (ONly if you haven't bought an HT3B)

FWIW I took some pics with a tape up to a S300 and a S400 to get an idea of material sizes that are needed to start the fabrication.
Heres the link.

I've had the 3b for two years to build twins and just got around to it this week. I'm glad you said 5.5 too, I would have got 5 in. and been sick. It's almost fabbed up except for the drain and pipe from the wastegate to the big turbo. I'm sure mine won't look near as good as everyone else's, just hope it works good. There is probably one in the future for my wife's truck just not this year. Thanks,Gary

I first used a 3/4" npt to hose barb brass fitting and the 7/8" silicone hose does not fit on there very well.

I have some thin wall 1 in. roll bar tubing that I'm going to use. The hydraulic shop I use has some low pressure hose that will stand alot of heat and comes in 1 in. I've got to make a plate to fit on the side of the oil pan this weekend. The dummy motor I've got on the stand has two oil drain back spots and it also has the bosses behind the motor mount tapped for bolts but mine doesn't have either.WHAT A BUMMER! Thanks for the help,Gary

OK.. Justin.. I've been lucking on this thread.. now I got some questions.. (you can PM if you want..) on your S300... (after looking at your pics) I'm building one from parts.. the compressor housing has the same casting numbers as yours.. (I have a few different ones... and can't remember the AR numbers..) I question is about the exhaust side.. mine is a non WG housing... any idea what the AR number/size ex housing you have.. and how is it working.. or is the 300/going to stack with a S4???? Just curious to see how this is working out... (I've been eyeing all the turbos discused.. including a big Garret..)
Thanks
Bryan
After looking at the pics again.. is that an 080 on the exhaust... smallest I have is a 091.. hmmm...
Thanks
Bryan

.91 a/r housing is quite large. I really think lag will be an issue.
It had a 66 mm wheel. The comp housing had to be machined to allow the wheel to fit. Kind of like taking a HX35 comp housing and machining it for a HX 40 wheel. (Instead of just using a 40 comp housing)
There are a ton of different comp housings for the 300. The turbo that is in the picture surged pretty bad when towing. We dropped down to a 65mm wheel and put a bigger comp housing along with a better air filter and the surge went away.
It will be another week or so before I find out how the s300 stacks with the s400.
