Fueling boxes are able to get more power out of the VP44 because they by-pass the FPCM. Timing boxes go through the FPCM, and any limitations programed into it.

Any box which clips onto the wire, ie. "fueling box", should be able to get more power. The Comp is a combination timing/fueling box.

The perfect solution would be a reprogramed ECM "and" FPCM, for maximum performance and control. Edge's new box also might be a good solution, if they've done their homework.

Question

I'm just going off of what I was told...

As for adding injectors, I agree with CTD NUT, but this goes back to the question of...

How much smoke????

EGT's????

So whats the verdict, comp box? Van Aaken?

Or just stick with what they said...

I said, Yup thats it...

I said Ok, pull it and I'll pick it up tommorrow!!!

Going back to this one.... If they really aren't up to speed why would you let them pull the pump from the timing case? If they don't line up the keyway properly and drop it you will be S.O.L. The number on the key must match the number for the pump. You cannot swap keys. If they lose it you have a useless pump.

$50 isn't enough to get me to remove one and I think that if they get lucky and get it out with the key in place the price will change when you go to pick it up.

That said, did you get it yet?

It is easy to see that the best compliment to an IP that flows more fuel would be a set of sticks that also flow more fuel!
thats what i tought
