it says "Super High Output Gain up to 60 to 100hp" if the specs are right, it wouldnt be as good as a 5x5 comp. but if i would have known, i would have installed that one insead of the stock type i replaced my old one with.

Reports I've read say as good on the low end as 5x5...but will it flow any more fuel on the top end than a standard VP44?

I just put another factory replacement on my truck, some more "DEALER JUNK",but I know a junkyard near by my house that has a 5.9 cummins that they told me $50 for the fuel pump....

Fuel Pump...OK if you say so....

Since they don't know, I'm not going to tell them...

I'm going to get it and use it as a core. So that I can get the HOT ROD VP44IP...And still keep my factory junk, just in case!!!

Make sure you are getting the injection pump for $50 and not the lift (transfer) pump, cuz you won't be able to use the lift pump for a core on the HRVP. $50 sounds like the lift pump.

The pump put out more fuel than my twins could clean up. Makes alot more horsepower and delivers alot more fuel throughout the RPM range.

Does the pump only add that 65-100 HP without a box ,or will it actually add that much on top of a box, I've heard most hybrid pumps add 40 hp but turn a box on an it adds as much fuel as a stock pump

The pump itself is capable of 65+ horsepower. I swapped out my injectors from Mach 4 to DDIIs and there was no difference in performance - it was all from the pump. The fuel box made very little difference - drag comp. This may not be the case for everbody, just my experience.

Red face

From what I was told just adding this pump was huge, when you start adding boxes with tap wire you neutralize the pumps added horsepower, but with a superchip or mad ecm its a good combo!!!

I'm not sure on adding injectors, and the pump...

But my guess would be good except I'm sure EGT's would go through the roof, this would probibly be good with an aftermarket turbo and good exhuast, but I don't know about the smoke!!!

I don't see how a fueling box will hurt power on a HRVP.....the HRVP is set up to simply flow more fuel but still runs off the fueling/timing maps from the ECM to control actual fueling and duration.....A Comp is a piggy back box that simply builds more advance and duration on top of the original maps.....this arrangement on top of a IP that simply flows more fuel than a stocker should be only capable of just making even more hp than a stock IP with a box. It is easy to see that the best compliment to an IP that flows more fuel would be a set of sticks that also flow more fuel!
