You are pretty much at the limit now. Maybe 300 or less, but that is still living on borrowed time.

you have less of a chance of breaking stuff if ur not beating on it from a dead stop all the time. u can launch it but just not really hard. ive launched mine at 10psi with no problems before

If you can't put in a built tranny, at least do a reprogramming/shift kit. Makes a WORLD of difference.

How does the oil look like? You change the filter recently? I would change oil/filter often. You should be fine. The superchip doesn't really do much except make smoke. An aftermarket valve body and torque converter would give you more holding power assuming everything inside is still virgin nice.

my truck had 297,000kms on it when I bought it. shortly after I installed a Edge EZ the tranny lasted about 30,000kms before the Torq Converter gave up the ghost. keep in mind, I have no idea how my tranny had been treated by the PO. Also my truck is a courior truck so it sees eight hours a day of stop and go traffic, and lots of full throttle lane changes.
edventually I had a local company rebuild my tranny thats listed in my sig line, it cost me around 2000$ and should it ever go again I'll take it back to A&C tranny,

as listed above the valvebody upgrade should help extend your trannys life (mine has the transgo kit in it)

When the TC starts to go you will have lots of weird shifting and it might feel as someone kicked the truck when you stop.(or shudder) the cincher is when you drop the pan to flush the oil, it will look like liquid metal sworling around

upping the line pressures with a good valve body will really help out the converter

Depending on how good of shape its in already... you could be fine you may not be...kinda of a roll of the dice. I beat on my stock one, towing, bad driving habits and such and it surprisingly lasted 2.5yrs-- roughly 30K miles after i bought the truck. Where do you live in OH, may try to look up Preble county diesel if your in the Sw. I just had a built--expensive-goerend trans put in over there, but he said he(Jon) can build them too using their parts. Of course my goal of spending the extra money is that it would last, but nothing does.lol

Mine held great with 300 rwhp, after adding a comp to that the TC let loose. Saving for the new one now.

My stock trans held untill around 62k with no mods done to the truck. But pulling trailers over 15k pounds. Valve body went first. Had that fixed just back to stock. After adding the comp the trans didnt last 10k miles. Went full DTT route & it handles whatever I throw at it now.
