hp and tq numbers???

Ok guys, Ive got some hp questions for you. Ive got a K&N filter, 4 1/4 inch striaght pipe, moved the fuel plate forward (1/16 back ) and star wheeled it to death (all the way i think) What do you guys think Ive got for hp and tq numbers? Its a 94 2500 with a stick. And how far can I go before a new clutch is needed? Thanks guys, Couldnt do without this site. It this site goes away, Im sellin my truck--LOL. Just kiddin

Assuming your fuel pressures are good, my guess is 185hp.

I think,

A full forward fuel plate adds about 30 HP, a full starwheeled pump i dont know if that adds power or not, but i would guess you are between 185-200, assuming the K&N is dirty, i dont believe it adds 10 horses to the wheels, maybe 6 or 7 if you are lucky, and probly ur truck is good and smokey, the way it should be... You should be at 185 the flywheel, but im sure you are making that at minimum at your rears.

As far as a clutch goes, i got anywhere from 275-300 RWHP, way over 550 in TQ thats for sure, and my stock clutch is slipping when i really get on it, so id say anything over 275 if driven hard, will not make your clutch last too long, unless you stay off of it....

Want better performance with more egt control without draining your wallet?.......1) take the stock plate and regrind to a #100 profile (do a search - you will find pics and dimensions) and don't move it so far forward........moving a stock plate too far forward will create more egt than power.......2) Block the wastegate if you don't have a boost elbow - you have gauges....right? .......3) make sure your AFC housing is full forward and run the light tension AFC spring from TST - worth the money........then adjust star wheel accordingly.......4) retime the pump to at least 16*......

This set up adjusted properly will exceed what your clutch will handle - you may want to detune it before the inevitable new clutch is in but it is worth some experimenting and you will easily be well over 200 RWHP!
