Smarty update
I am bringing this page back to the top for others who may find it useful & to thank the person who posted the details on how to update a Smarty.
Note also that although this thread is in 2nd gen the details for updating the Smarty apply to all the Smarty programers for 2nd, 3rd & 4th gen trucks.
I used this post today & in about an hour I had my S-06 updated. I had tried once before following written instructions but the computer boob that I am I could not get it done & I was afraid of doing something wrong.
If you have never updated your Smarty & want to know how just follow the details on pages 1 & 2 of this thread & you can not go wrong.
I wanted to go back to stacking my Smarty with my van aaken 3.2 on my 04.5 quad cab as I seldom drive my dually in the winter (the dually has an older ecm flash & the Smarty was always used on that truck). A newer flash done by a dealer last summer to cure a water in fuel light issue kept my S-06 from reading the ECM on this truck.
With the latest Revo downloaded from the MADS sight I am now stacked again The smarty & the van aaken are freinds again & I can enjoy the benefits of this awesome stack.
