how to tell if VP has uprades? year built?
is there some way by part number if you can tell when your VP was rebuilt and if it would have the upgrades? i haven't looked for a part # yet but know it's not the original w/ the Reman. sticker on it. just wondering cuz i'm a little nervous about getting the Edge Comp and having the pump crap out since i heard lots of early VPs bit it.

You can find the product number on the outside of the VP on it's ID plate. The newest series of pumps ends with 027 and 028 for the SO and HO, respectively. Older revisions have lower numbers.
