How often do you change your BHAF

How often do you change your BHAF? NAPA has upped their price here to $65 bucks per filter. made me wonder if I could push it a little further...

I clean mine every 6 months or so and wash the outwears. I replaced my first one after 18 months.
In the same interval I would have replaced 3 or more factory filters. They got full of grime in 6 months.
Still money ahead with BHAF

I replace mine once a year.

I won't blow out/wash mine. Since it has no secondary filter, the potential to put a hole in it is to great.

That's a new one, never heard of that before, the fire anyway.
Was he running a heatshield?

I have heard of folks getting them wet, and the media starts coming apart, or putting a plastic bag on them while washing the engine, and forgetting to take the bag off and collapsing them, but never just falling apart for no reason.

I've got almost 40K on mine, and it's just starting to look dirty.

I had my outerwears off for a week a while back, threw it in the wash and forgot to put it back on .

No problem getting 50K out of it, probably another 25K at least.

Mine had roughly 75k on it before I upgraded to a scotty. Still pulled air like a mother...

Try Fleetfilter.com. I get mine there for about $27.
I went to NAPA to get one myself once and he told me $56 Ya'll are on crack. Where's my laptop so I can order another one.

I usually order a fuel filter and BHAF at the same time and change them together. Probably overkill on the BHAF because the usually still look pretty good when I throw them away.
