I had mine built for "towing/drag racing" with suncoast parts for $3500. That included a TransGo shift kit, clutches, etc., and TDTC. Larry at Thurston County Transmission in Lacey, Wa did all of the work. Their service is great, and they stand by their work 100%. I'm very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone!

I had a DTT built with everything except the intermediate shaft for 7000, it broke 10 months later and the builder would not cover it, went with a new builder and suncoast parts, couldn't be happier, triple disk is definatly the way to go.

first one was 2000 bucks with the billet tq, turns out that wasn't enough and they warranty'd the transmission and i upgraded to the tripple disk for 1600 more. i did that tranny in less than 2 hours the second time. i was humping on her since i was in kelowna (way away from here) and only had the shop for x amount of time.

Not to off topic but DTT is now bad ATS is now bad you have suncoast and Goerend left ARGGGG (I know other). ATS is just up the road and I need a tranny as well come tax money, slipping bad in lockup if I'm not easy.

CODODGE2500MAN sorry for the hijack and please PM with what your going to do. I'm hoping to get away with just a VB and TQ converter but who knows, I have no huge HP goals, maybe some small sticks and a comp but nothing more, maybe a lockup switch to help with 3rd gear lockup. EGT's are already a problem here pulling anything through the rockies, high altitude.

I've been looking at ATS and Goerend. Goerend is cheaper for a trans but once you add billet anything ATS is about the same price. triple disk converter from Goerend is just over 1000 or 1250 for a limited lifetime warranty. Trans is 3500 with converter and VB. ATS is over 4200 for a trans and tq converter with other options than the Goerend setup.

I'm so confused, hoping you get many more posts on this topic to help us both out.

I saw your looking for a shop to do all this work, any chance maybe a heated garage and some helpful info from here and we could do this and save some money? I have the heated garage and just south of you by about 50 miles.

Good luck.

My first georend tranny was 3885 to mydoor, i did the install. I destroyed that one in 5 months by getting water in it 4wheeling. I called dave the day after i got water in it and told him the story. He said flush it real good and keep using it. I got 2 more months out of it and it starting goin in limp mode and locking up as soon as it was in gear and stalling the truck. He sent me new selinoids at his cost, i put them in went for a ride, got about a mile down the road and at 55mph the rear wheels locked up and then bang off the raod i coast. There was a trail of oil and parts on the ground. Called him back up topld him what happened, he said give him 7 days and pay the shipping which was 385.xx . 7th day yellow frieght was here with the new trans. I did add billet shaft input a few months later but i forget what that cost. Call dave and talk to him, he is an outstanding person to do buisness with.

Had a DTT in my old 98.5 with no problems. Cost $4000.00

Got a DTT built by Bill himself for my 12v. Cost $9500.00ish. Nothing to report on this as my 12v is not finished yet.

Very pleased with DTT. Also have heard great things about GB, Suncoast, and HTS.

DTT isn't bad, they are one of the most respected names in the game, they have made a few mistakes, no company in perfect and infalliable.

The same goes for ATS

My first DTT was $3800.

Upgraded to billet a few years later. Zero issues and anytime I needed to have them tweak it for tire changes, ect they have been great to deal with.

I would highly recommend DTT as well.
