how much power will a single disk conveter take
#16
I have a transgo shift kit, and am going to a billet covered triple disc converter VERY soon hopefully. Will i be ok leaving the rest of the tranny like it is? It works great right now; just the torque converter slips a little. I emailed Dave Goerend(need to call him) and he said as long as the tranny is working fine now(and it is)I should be ok. So the converter is a triple disk, and i dont have that much power, and the transgo helped a LOT with line pressure(made the converter hold MUCH better) so i think at the pressures im at i will be fine. Just looking for input anyone may have. Im not planning on over 325hp or so anyway's.

I dont care weather you put a single or a tripple in or even do a full tranny rebuild you will always have fuzzys from new frictions that come off this is why you drive it for 500 miles the take it home drain ALL the fluid and change it . cause if you dont yeah those fuzzys will cause you to have issues cause they end up in the vavle body and all over int the tranny may even clog some of the oiling ports. any way so what i hear is a vb and single disk with a healthy tranny like i have will be ok in the 350hp range . thanks guys
