How much performance is to much?????

I was just curious to how much performance is to much to some of the people on this board. I was driving back from myrtle beach this weekend with the small bike trailer on the back with the bike strapped down and i went to go up the on ramp of the interstate and a Honda thought he would be cool and try to pass me on the merge section of the ramp so i stomped on it and the truck fish tailed making the trailer hop across the intersection almost taking out the honda if he didnt slam on his brakes. Then the other night i was going down the road and the traffic was pretty intense and i went to swtich lanes pretty aggressive doing about 45-50mph and as i got on it to jump in front of someone the truck broke traction and fish tailed and i almost lost it in the ditch when the back tires where sliding off the road in the grass....Im actually starting to feel a little on the point that ive gotten above safe performance and just thought i throw this story up here... oh ya not to mention i never had any of these problems tell i just rebuilt the tranny 2 weeks ago and put shaved drum in to put 4 frictions instead of 3 frictions and put a more aggresive valve body setup in the tranny.

I'm guessing you cruise around @ 5x5 all the time too? Just learn to show some restraint or turn the comp down for daily driving =P

Sounds like your next bomb should be on a LSD.

My question is... How do you run a 8.45 1/8 mile at 98 mph? I'm a noob to racing, so I'm just wondering out loud.

Too much is never enough--Are you sure you have a drivers license??? . Rear tires with treads might be a good place to start

ThermoQuad carburetor. Popular on old Mopars and GREAT on our trucks. Seriously, I'd guess torque converter, as he prolly meant TC.

As to the performance issue, the answer is simple. It's simply the limit of the knucklehead behind the wheel. No more, no less.

How is it that some guys can never get a ticket or an accident riding a Hayabusa, and some other guys can't stay out of trouble riding a 600?? OPERATOR LIMITATIONS.

Friend, if your ego to "show a little Honda who'ds boss" outweighs the common sense and good judgement you should have--especially while towing-- then I'd say you have too much power.

Try de-tuning to a level within your self-control......

As Dad use to say you got to use a little common sense when playing.

Looks like you are WAY in over your head, trade that thing on a Kia, the world would be a safer place for everyone.
