Is that 1/8 at idle or is it with the engine off?

My head has not been off, stock bolts, been twined for a few years now. I run up to 58 psi or so, but pull hills towing 18k lbs I dont run over 40, I ussually try to keep it in the 35-36 area pulling long hills, like 17 miles or so.

210k + miles.

It will make a difference with it running. I found that if I set mine with it running it was about a 1/4 of a turn out. I also found that if i set it to make 34 lbs of boost, I have full fueling through the rpm range. In 4th gear on a damp road at 1100 rpm if I step on it it will spin in circles So what I sm saying is I think that one should use the boost gauge to fine tune the arm.

I have to call bs on that. I would ber shocked if you are running over 300hp at the wheels. At 1100 the turbo is not even lit up.

Call what you want. I am not putting out 300 at the wheels. At 1200 (10 lbs of boost) my turbo lights. It doesn't take long to go from 1100 to 1200 rpm, and that is when mine will spin. I am saying that starting at 1100 rpm. It will put you in the ditch if you let it. Looking at your sig I would say that your arm is to high.

Thats funny. I am at 7,000+ elevation and everything is different here. At sea level it lights a lot sonner but with the thin air it takes a while.
I now have the plate full forward making 35-37 depending on air temp and such. When I was at 31 at elevation I went down to sea level and it would make 35-36.
Also I didn't say you were making 300 I said I would be shocked if you were. Little pumps don't put out lots of hp with a lot of work.

If I slide my AFC forward more it will start to light with lots of smoke at around 1200. I have a happy median going with it lighting at 1400 or so.

I did not think of elevation. Thanks for bringing that up. Sounds like you have your's set up very well.
