how much bigger can i go

i am thinking of going bigger with my lift and tires. for now i am going to run 40's after my 38's are sold, but after that i want to go bigger. what size lft can i get/do i need to run 47-49" tires. i have a couple buddies who are running 49's now, and i like the OMFG looks that they get. granted i get alot of looks now, i would like to go bigger. i've heard about and seen the new 53" michelins, and i was thinking about mabye those, because they arent a whole lot more then 47's or 49's. any suggestions, thoughts, or ideas welcome.

you could always wait until the 54 inch bogger comes out and run those but i have heard the anything 49 and bigger eat one ton axles for lunch if you wheel with them. But that is all by word of mouth.

that 54 bogger is supposed to be something serious. from ehat i have seen and rode in, im going to have to upgrade all the insides of my axles. my buddy who is a weekly mudbogger used to run 49's under his old cherokee, but it got to the point where he was redoing his axlesabout monthly, so he upgraded to the 2.5 ton rockwells, and hasnt messed with them since, and he is also now running the new 53" michelin's.
