Scary stuff, but, while that input shaft wasn't designed for that type power, it shattered amongst the splined end, not at the drum - the previous flexplate damage probably initiated the failure.

And i belive the flex plate issue weakend the shaft.

Still curious what caused the Flexplate problems. 24v 2nd Gens don't seem to have this happen often?? When they do...seems like it a Suncoast more often than not. ( not knocking them .... genuinely curious because I don't know enough about our trannys to understand where the stress on the flexplate comes from?)

He shredded his stocker, wish I still had the pics, I also had done some damage to my flexplate when I broke my shaft as well, now that I think about it Tim drove my truck right before it broke
