Got a 3.5" straight on it now...

I want it to sound like a semi or a garbage truck...

SEMI I have it on my 96 and 92 and love it streight piped. Not to bad in the cab ither. You can be quiet if you need to or let the world know you are on the way all with the right foot.

i think your 3.5" straight pipe will be louder than the 5", but you will get a deeper tone out of the 5".

I had a straight stock system on mine when i bought it. Sounded OK. I put on a 5in. system with a 6in tip. And it sounds like one Mean Animal. So If you want it to sound like a Semi 5 inch straight is the way to go!!!

Bullet,

Here's a quick video I made of my buddy driving my truck getting on it a little.

5" exhaust, resonator, and 6" tip. Actually louder in person.

Should I buy replacement bolts for the turbo flange, or do they come off pretty easy?

Just put WD-40 on it a few times a few days ahead of time and they wil come out fine. The MBRP kits I have put on came with new ones. What kind did you get. what ever it is you will like it.

The bolts came out fine for me on both my trucks...I've had the 5" straight system on a 12 valve and now my 24 valve...the 12 valve definitely was louder and had much much more growl to it...if you like a deep loud sound then you'll love that 5" exhaust
