How long has your Vp lasted since you tapped it

I think this thread should read "whom has a comp that is tapped, and how long has your VP lasted". I've read way to many threads on VP failures with Comps to buy one. I'm going to start a thread to see how many VP failures there have been with EZ/TST tapped VP failures.

Now have almost 30k and 2 years with a tapped wire.
1st at 50k with a Banks Ottomind, then at about 65k put on a TST pm3. I used solder when installing the TST – but with all of the discussion about heat killing the electronics I am not sure that was a good idea.

Tapped mine with less than 50,000 miles now have 142,775 as of tonight, still the original VP, added a set of DD II's about 15,000 miles ago. It's hit or miss with the VP's, definantely the newer one seem to work better than the 98 and 99's.

234,000 miles on VP pumps installed fass system last january, installed gauges and drag comp last week while off for christmas, made it 200yards out of the driveway on level 2. Dead died done stick a folk in it. no check engine light, but pulled a 251 code, mechanical failure. Happy new yrs to me.

4 hours off and back on, broke at 10am got it home by 11, removed old one ran to shop got new one reinstalled and running @ 5pm.
It's not that hard, the hardest part for me was getting the gear off the front of the pump.

That would be my luck. That was one expenive 600 foot ride.

Mine's been tapped on and off over the years and I've got 90k on it. I'd say about half of that is tapped. Right now it's running 100+hp injectors and a comp in EZ mode and it's still going strong.
