Is there any sound difference using the square tube? Seems like you would lose some of the throatyness?
Other than that, the fab seems like it would be MUCH easier.

Check my gallery to see how mine are done! This kit is the Grand Rock kit with a little modifications on my part. I didnt want the stacks in the corners of the bed so that they can be seen around the edge of the cab looking from the front. So I moved them inboard so that from the front all you see is the tips over top of the cab.
I used Peterbilt stack mounts on the front of the bed....Also the stacks are powder coated black and the Y pipe is painted with 500* engine paint...

How are you getting the exhaust up through the bed? Can I cut and re-weld my oringinal piece that went over the axle to make the 90 up through the bed? Is everyone using the stock 3" and then just putting the 5" stacks in the bed? Just curious if I NEED a 4" system to make this work.

I have been looking on ebay and cant fine any 5"x36" mitre cut stacks. There are quite a few short tips but nothing really long enough or then on the other side there are some that are way too long. Dont want to pay for more than I need you know. Any salvage yards to look at maybe some used stacks off a tractor trailer.
