First thing people will say is smaller tires, but I am moving up to that size soon... Keeping your foot out of it will help the most.

Nothing you can add/change to the truck will help more than the above.

If you do quite a bit of around town driving a converter would be the best help as far as add-ons.

Ditch the leving kit and the 315s would help with fuel economy more than anything else you can do. After that be easy on the pedal like said, and keep the highway speeds low.

But we all know the answer to that.. NO WAY.

A 600 dollar smarty will take a lot longer to pay for itself than a used 180 edge ez, or a new Quad XZT+.

You can also buy a new Quad Max mileage on ebay for less than 200. It is upgradeable for 100 bucks if you want a full blown xzt+, but since it only does timing, you will not be tempted to use the additional fueling. That said, the mileage max module is probably the only box you can add that will get you more mileage because the power of the others will be too tempting.

If you are handy with the tools, some Pensacola rv275 knock off injectors will help mileage a smidge as well. 225 bucks to your door.

I agree with others and BigBlue 100%

Smaller wheels, Quad XZT+ or Adrenaline, RV275, new IAT sensor, new MAP sensor, and you will be doing 20mpg or better in interstate at 70mph

I am averaging a bit over 20mpg, usually in the 20.4 to 20.6 range running a HypertechIII, no muffler, dual 5 inch miters, and 305/16's on a 2002 quadcab, 4wd, manual 5 speed.

The rubber is definitely your biggest enemy.

I run a 33" tall tire, 3.54 gear and get 23-24mpg empty at 70mph.

The best bang for your buck with mileage is a box that adds timing. Of the ones I have tried, the $180 EZ did exactly the same as the Smarty. And that was good for 2MPG.

I would suspect to see smaller gains with with the taller and wider tire.

A good intake can help. Exhaust will not help unless you have some restriction in the system. A simple muff delete will fix that.
