turn up the pump or torque plate on my 97 cummins engine? I know where to move it and what not, I'm just not sure which way to move it and how far I can move it before I mess something up.. anything that can help me would be appreciated.

You should be able to slide the stock plate all the way to the front of the engine without hurting anything. I hope this answers your question.

 

That's what I did and I was hoping that it wouldn't hurt anything.
