Someone posted on here about running 285's, and using a spacer between the rear wheels to avoid contact. 255's would work great, taller and thinner.

I've been told 255 is the widest for the 01-02 duallies without a spacer. A 255/85 will be a bit taller than your 235's but will also be 20 mm wider

I take it these tires will not work on a 99 then. This is my first dually and I'm also having trouble finding a size/spacer that will work well.

255's will rub on the rear without at least a 1in spacer you can get a 1 or 2 in spacer at national tire and wheel i dont think you can see them on there web site but if you call them they keep them in stock (www.ntwonline.com)

A good friend of mine just put 295's on her '04.5 with a 1.5" spacer on each side on the rear. I would think 2" spacers would be fine on our 2nd Gens with 285-295's...

245 75 r16 on my beast here, loaded with trailer they peck on the turns.empty they have about 1/4 -3/8 clearance . but before I trailer heavy I armoral between then or baby power, and it takes the friction away from the rubing of the TIRES . learned that trick from a Buddy that was a trucker for the army. said that did it when they were over loading the trucks. I have some 5/16 spacer to put I when I get around to it..
