How big of injectors

Alright help me out here, What is the biggest size injector I can use and still pull my horse trailer without having to worry about breaking something? The truck has a 135hp chip, Full sun coast tranny, and AFE intake.

Thanks,
Travis

If your pulling a one-horse bumper pull, then the sky is the limit...( i feel sorry for the caballo)

But, if your pulling a 40'-4 horse slant, w/20' of living quarters, then you might want to turn your chip to low setting, and get some mach 1.5's or 2's. i understand that a 65 hp chip & mach1.5's are a good pulling combo.

what kind of trailer are you pulling?

I run a EPcomp as an EZ when pulling. It pulls a 20' stock trailer w/ 6-8 steers & 2 horses in the back great. But im a flatlander, and I never see hills. So a box is all I need.

We pull a 13,500 lb 36' 5th wheel with the mods and BHP shown in my signature. Max pre-turbo EGT's at 34 PSIG boost are around 1225-1250 degF so far - the DD2's went in last winter.

Is this for a FORD? The 135 chips that remain constant must be for a FORD? Yes?

If so....there are no Mach series injectors for FORDS.

Sorry to tell you, but the Bank$ 135 hp chip doesn't make 135hp. Maybe 100. The reason is that Banks, like many others, advertises the MAX hp gained, even if that occurs at an rpm different than where they engine makes its max hp. So the increase at peak engine HP is usually less.

Example: if the engine makes 300hp@2000 rpm, and the chip produces a maximum increase of 130hp, this most likely does NOT occur at 2000rpm. The amount of gain the "130hp chip" produces at 2000 rpm is probably more on the order of 100hp. So they truck will dyno 400hp and only "see" a 100hp increase.

To answer your question, though, go with a mild injector. The best towing injector is the Mach 1.5, bar none. It makes the most grunt, gives the best mpg, and makes almost no smoke.

YOu can tow with ANY injector with a big enough charger. The question is, do you want crappy mileage and high temps?

Mach 3s here with fuel mileage of +2.4mpg over stock and the same as with DD2s at 18.7mpg. About 95% at 60mph to 62mph driving, the rest is easy in town driving unless there's a ricer sitting beside me at a light. I haven't towed with them yet, but soon.
