just wondering how much difference in performance and milage there is with a hot rod vp44 over a rebuilt vp44. i have 75k on my 00 2500 and am trying to decide which way to go when it dies

I dont know that you will see much gain in mileage but you will in performance! I really get a kick out of diving my truck with the comp on level 1 with the hr pump where as before it needed to be at least on 3. The low-mid range boost is awesome...it must make more power up top too because I see about 3 more psi od boost.

 

Nice to hear your rave about your HRVP44. How much did it hurt your wallet?

The HRVP is just a few hundred more than a rebuilt VP. $1600 seems to be the going rate.
