I just put the quick diesel on my truck last night as well. I was told by HTT that the wastegate is set from them at 40 psi. I had HTT's hx35/40 hybrid on before this turbo. I have about the same complaint as you only I have to back out of the throttle at about 35 psi because temps are rising too fast. I find myself in a similar situation. It spools lsower than the hybrid and temps are hotter. I hope this turbo will perfrom better pulling.

If you are talking about sled pulling...yes if you preload & build boost off the line, but don't try to tow....your egts will go to the moon!

In my opinion, laser cuts, even on stock injectors should be enough to get it going just fine. Honestly I have seen very mixed results with going to a bigger turbo. Some seem to do great, and some dont seem to keep the trucks cool at all and very high cruising EGT's. Honestly I dont think the stock turbo can be beat for towing and daily driving with 350hp or less.

well today i noticed my egts were back down to normal, although boost is still slow to come even at a 40mph wot, the turbo lags for a second and then hits hard, i kinda like it i will keep you guys updated on my truck so others can see the changes with injectors, timing, and dv swapping.
