Horsepower/Torque Estimate?

Hey guys,

I know topics like these are always popping up, but I can not find one with the same mods as me for some reason

Title says it all really, looking for a rough estimate on what my HP and Torque might be around if I have the TST Comp on 9, with all my other mods in my sig? There are no Dyno's close to me so I am unable to book one for a day and drive to it

Thanks in advance

With your injectors, Turbo and Smarty/TST Comp stack.... I'd say just over 500 hp/1100 Ft-lbs.
Dyno with Smarty on #3 for best results... timing and just a little low end fuel. This is best setup for 1/4 mile racing.
Variables are size tires and type dyno!

Oh right, I suppose with Smarty on level 3, the Dyno HP would read slightly higher than running on Catcher software. Would you recommend that setup for daily driving, or is it better to have it on Catcher just for the better get up and go during normal acceleration?

I figured I would be around 450hp, so high 400's to low 500's is good for me as of right now, lol. I'm going to wait for headstuds/orings and maybe billet input and output before I start adding anything more. My current tires are 265/75/16's I believe, probably go up to 285's next round.

Thanks for the estimates guys!

I did not realize #3 was not Catcher?? I recommend #3 to prevent over fueling at low end...assuming TST is set on max. For some reason #3 produces better times at the track than higher odd # settings. TST comes in as soon as you get some boost so just need Smarty to start things off strong.

With the Smarty/TST, daily driving settings are strictly a matter of choice. But you will definately want Smarty on odd #'s only.
With my Adrenaline, it's so sensitive around town I daily drive with just Smarty and injectors (400+/- hp).
With 35" tires I run Smarty on #7 or #9.
When I have my towing/racing tires on (265/70/17's) I run Smarty on #3. Gives about the same feel in the right foot.
Hope this answers?

Yea that helps out, I usually run my TST on 0-2 around town. I left it on 6 one time and all the truck wanted to do was just go, pedal was very touchy. And as far as the Smarty goes, all it says for Level 3 is "Like # 2 + Added Timing" (which # 2 is "Only more Fuel and Boost Fooling"). The Catcher software starts at level 4.

I see your point of running level 3 to help prevent low end over fueling, there has been a couple times where I snap the throttle instead of walking into it and it takes awhile to spool. I may try level 3 as well as some others just to see the difference.

Thanks for your opinions and knowledge sir!

I had nearly the same set up as you, but I had 200hp DDP injectors with the Quick Diesel 64. My truck hit 541hp & 1320 ft lbs. This was on #2 diesel only. No nitrous or meth. The reason for the low HP number was that my truck de-fueled. It may have been due to the fact that I have a FASS 95/150. The 150/150 might have kept up. RowJ was there and saw the numbers.

I would suspect you were getting pretty toasty with a 12cm housing no?

Not on the dyno. Only when towing. Once the Quick Diesel lit, it moves a lot of air. The smaller housing really cut the lag out of it. RowJ drove the truck and he can testify to the lack of lag.

I would get a little over 1300 on the dyno for just a couple of seconds.

That's not too bad then. I still need to adjust my boost, I'm only running about 42 I believe. I really want to try and get on a Dyno this year to see where I sit, so I can have actual numbers, lol.

only a little over 1300? I wish I could see those kind of egt's....I have no idea what hp I have but after my 1/4 time and speed I think its a lot more than I thought. but my egt's are a lot higher than that at the end of a run, never dynoed mine either...

But I'm by far no expert but I'd say you're a little under 500 hp
