Hey 65 your answer is maybe. I wish I could just drive the truck normaly but that dosn't seem possible. With 62ss the way it has to be driven to enjoy it you have to keep the rpm's up and keep the 71 wheel spooled it's a bit laggy but as I said keeping it spooled is the key. I do think if I went easy it would get great milage.... C2o just so you know I think the lag is minimal with the 13ss housing not to sure about the 14 iron. Spool is just a bit slower than the stocker...

cant the p-pumps lose their timing location because you have to have the timing nut perfectly clean when you tighten it?? (keep in mind im a over-valver so im doing the best i can off of memory). maybe you set it correctly but you lost it due to the nut loosening.

maybe im off track....

yep you are correct the timing can slip at anytime. schoust have you tried hauling 20K with that turbo? i got 4.10's and a handshaker and it dosnt work good. once you spool it its awesome but its the getting it there that is a pain.

No I have yet to pull that much but I have been happy with lighter loads. I have had to learn how to drive with this turbo though you can't just jump on it with a 12 valve you really have to roll into it. I find whether I tow or thrash the key to it is ease into the throttle then get into it. Otherwise the results for me were High egts. Yo have to get the thing spooled then all is good. I think this turbo with a stick and plenty of fuel is a better combo than an auto with a tight covertor. I may pull my convertor in the spring and send it back to Dave to have him loosen it up,I here others are having good results doing this.....

yep checked the speedo, im off a little bit, in 5 miles my odometer is of by a 10th of a mile, not much. on the 62/13ss i wasn't going to go with the 71 wheel, that way it would spool slightly quicker and it is better in a twin setup, so ive been told. and im thinking the timing may have slipped so this weekend i'll redo the timing and hope for the best. thanks guys
