Homemade big line kit installed and wire tapped

I just installed my big line kit( homemade) and tapped the wire on my comp, I get 13psi at idle but can't pull it below 10psi at WOT with comp on 5x5 , are those pressures good enough? Also tapped my pump wire, I noticed more smoke and a bit more power but not as much as I was expecting, when it the TC locks up it pulls pretty good so i'm guessing that is my problem. So i'm getting ready to get my tranny rebuilt at DTT but I won't be drag racing or sled pulling with the truck but do want to get on it, I was wondering at what power level would I need billet shafts and can I do low boosted launches without them?

I believe NADP said if I do power launches above 18 pounds, there is a good chance you will break a non billet input shaft. If I remember correctly.

Welcome to my world. Until lock up the tranny just sits and spins and once lock up hits it hauls booty.

Technically there's really no power level for billet shafts. What requires billet shafts is boosted launching, lock up switches, drag racing, and sled pulling, and general abuse. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not doing shafts in my DTT when I get it built in the next couple of weeks.

I didn't do them either. It all depends on what you want to do with your truck.

Unplug the MAP @ the block and that will give you more smoke and great bottom end power.
