Has anyone every used a small turbo out of a "sports" or compact car in their twins setup? I'm thinking a turbo out of a firefly or something like that. Is there a reason why that may not work?

I dont know about the turbo you refer to, but I have allways said that the compressor section of the secondary turbo in twins can and should be much smaller that what most guys run. But, the turbine section needs to be large enough to move the full amount of exhaust without undue backpressure....The problem, is that those little compressor turbos also have little turbines.....

I was looking into making a turbo with an HX30 compressor, and a 16cm HX35 turbine, but never took it anywhere.....

An HX30 compressor is about perfect as a secondary compressor for a 500HP street twin setup..
