Holy Smokes!!

Since we're talking about finally getting trucks running again...
Finally got the old 95 back on the road! About a month ago the starter bolts backed out, and broke the threads out of the adapter plate. When I pulled that apart to replace it, I found out why my truck has been hard to get in gear since I swapped in the NV5600. Apparently my DD clutch was so old that there were no NV5600's with DD clutches, so mine wasn't built to be used with one! The hubs were a different design, and my input shaft didn't spline in far enough
So, one rebuilt 3250 12CB South Bend Clutch, a $165 starter, and a $160 adapter plate, and I'm back on the road! Good thing I had the 98, or I'd have been real mad about having to drive the S10 for a month! Too bad the 98 is a turd
I'm nowhere near 550hp, but it sure is better than the stock 98 with it's slip-a-matic

I'd rather not spin anyway...wasted speed and $$$$s.

The 95 would do a heck of a good burnout without the flatbed on it when I had the twins on...3rd gear launch would leave 4 - 200ft marks Dad wouldn't believe it was me who made them on the road in front of the house

10-4. The "cement truck" thing was fresh in my mind because a Dolese truck pulled out in front of me at lunch....I stopped needless to say...that turd....I'm sure coming out of the plant he was loaded to the hilt.

what you say about a dually's spinning is right (on wet pavment), but on dry pavment thay hook up better than a single. that's why pro-streets have wide tires, but don't plan on driving then in the rain, and put an extra 1k in the bed and see how much wheel spin you get. my bed is 1500, a stock bed less than 500, and yes this is my 2nd rear-end

oh ya, I put a set of 35's off my buddys 3/4 truck have you ever seen a 4th gear 30 psi boost lanch and ride the brake alittle. I had to let off after about 3 min. (you con't breath for all the smoke) It's fun roasting someones elses tires
