What size exhaust do you have. If you still have the stock exhaust a 4" exhaust is going to cool your egts more then the scotty II. From what I've seen the scotty II only drops egts about 50* over a BHAF.

Not worries, mate! Took me a long time to accept what the "big guns" say...You won't hurt anything up to 1600*...as long as you don't stay there long!

I just limit myself to 5 sec max...once it hits the peg on the pyro (1550*) and have had no troubles. 5 sec is conservative by some peoples standards...but that's just me.

At 1450*, DD4x4 could probably play with 7-10 sec, easy.

Can you say 1-mississippi, 2-mississippi, 3..........

That's unusual. Everyone I've talked to has said it dropped them at least 100* with the hole cut and they also say the 4" doesn't help much at all. Oh well

Word of advice to yall. Make sure that when you reinstall the shifter that you thread lock the bolts and put a bead of silicone. My buddy had to put 2 quarts of fluid in because it was leaking so bad. Changed the fluid today, thread locked the shifter in, and so far so good. This truck is just insane. Everytime he hits the throttle I just smile and laugh. It's great.

I guess when I did that run last night, the air temp had a slight effect on the egts and I was still a little hesitant on the throttle. Today, during the heat of the day, I was able to hike 'em up to 1450* give or take. Now its time for the ol' duce air intake.

Like the roommie said, I'm all smiles . Now all I need is to pull up next to some cocky ford guy and let him know who's boss!!!
