Holy 5 Inch Exhaust!

Regarding the ticking .. don't know if its back to haunt Dodge but my dad was an exec for Chrysler Canada for 15 years before retiring. He said that there were engine issues where the dip sticks were a little too long and that the crank would just touch the dip stick and create a ticking sound that nobody could ever diagnose. Something like that at least.
It couldn't hurt .. pull the dip stick out a couple inches and see if it still ticks. Just an off the wall guess that brought back a "ticking" conversation I had with him years ago.
I bought a 5" also .. now I really can't wait to get it installed.

It's not the first time DC has had dipstick issues. In the late 60's or early 70's there was a run of dipsticks on the 225 slant six that were too long, as were the replacements. Allot of them got eaten by the engines.

Well if you do decide to attempt a diagnosis with those symptoms make sure you've got a video camera handy. That could get very interesting.

I was driving to work this morning and a guy I work with who lives close by passed me. I got back in the lane next to him and he gave me some room to get a good run up past him so he could hear it. When we got to work he said it hurt him physically, it was that loud. Of course I was giving her the beans, not always that loud just driving around town.
