holley vs. walbro......?

i am debating on which of these pumps to get to backup my lift pump. i am looking at the walbro gsl392 and the holley 12-802. which will supply a better pressure for my ctd? it is a stock '00' 2500 4x4. i am interested in preserving my injector pump, not shredding the tires at the local dragstrip. they are both about the same in cost, so.........the holley will provide 14 psi, i cant find anything on the web about the walbro pressure. thanks bill

Walbro will replace your stock pump. Throw it out. Old school. Holley Blue has been used with mixed results, both to suplement the stock pump and to replace it. Pump curves show Holley Blue is at its own limit working alone. Most have "stretched" the internal spring to build higher than design pressures, which are more in the sweet range for a VP44. Go with the gsl392 and have super strong pump! Just be sure to install a bypass so you don't blow the filter housing/lid!!

i recommend the warlbro kit, it comes with everything you need to do the install, great instructions, great product, and REALLY great customer service. the guys name is rich, great guy, just call him to order, he'll get you set up. i have this kit on my truck and love it...18 psi at idle and i can't drop it below 15 psi. keep us posted.
