Holley Blue Transfer Pumps
#16
My Blue had dropped down to 7 psi cruise at around 7k miles. I moved it back on the frame rail and now it's just used as a priming/backup pump for my RASP.
Some people have good luck with them but alot have not. If it last for xxxxxx amount of miles good on them, I wish mine did.

I guess if you not savvy about roaside repairs you stuck towing your truck. I think it is correct that some dirt gets into the pump and causes it to go to zero pressure.
I'm using a Holly Blue that replaced the lift pump. After 10K miles, no problems.
For me, if the pump's motor is spinning, i can fix it on the roadside.... Much better than the stock pump which can't be repaired.

I was running a Stanadyne filter in between the tank and the Holley black as well as a PE on my 01 for three of the failures.
I carry tools and a spare pump at all times as well a filters.
Strangely enough a suggestion was to ditch the pre filter and that Holley was the one that ran for over 50K before I sold the 01...could still be going strong and that was a year ago.

Get a Fram canister fuel filter (or comparable) and put it before the Holley blue. Also be sure to mount the pump where it will stay cool. Heat and dirt are what kill them.

I keep forgetting to mention that I take my fuel from the tank in the bed where I have a carter pump and filter as well. Then it transfers to the factory tank. Therefore my fuel should be fairly clean before it hits the Holley.
Thats 3.14 Candian cents or 2 USD cents.
