qwest: the Walbros are OEM in many Ford diesel applications. They are fine for the seals.

The Aeromotive pumps are kick butt imo. The Marine version is the one to get-- it's diesel rated. Although I know of many "gasser" aeromotive pumps doing just fine on diesel.

Chris Sutton is going on 5 years on his Aeromotive A1000 setup last I heard-- no hiccups.

A/M is top notch.

...and top dollar

Just FYI, I e-mailed Aeromotive awhile back about the 11203 pump. They said it would work fine with ULSD, but not Biodiesel. I run B2, so I didn't go with that pump. I'm kinda wonderin if B2 would be enough to affect it though?

You should see the numbers without the regulator 38 at idle and it went up with rpms. Its a cummins piston pump from f-1 that runs off the cam.

I bought the Walbro GSL 392 from ebay. Paid $109 + $10 shipping and that includes the install kit. Got to me in two days.

This is the one everybody is running. Places like glacier diesel sell kits, but you can get most of the stuff for a fraction of the cost at other places (such as hardware and auto parts stores). That is if you want to take the time to do it. You'll need a regulator, a return line to the tank, and a wired relay to run it. I already had a 'big line kit' I ran with the holley, and I'm rigging my own relay and return. The pump and regulator I bought.

I'll have under $200 in my 'kit'.

Thanks guys, need encourgement at this time...
Since I have the return line, regulator and relay already installed the only
Item I need is selecting a good reasonable priced pump.

The Item I am missing is a check valve, I want to install 1 in parrallel with
the LP, 70 bucks seems expensive ( best found so far )

My thought is : if the LP dies for any reason, ( pump, relay, wiring etc )
The engine QUITS RUNNING ( that is with a restrictive LP which I believe most of the suction type are ). This is not an option for me.
I have had engine quit on another brand truck. BIG TIME SCARE
Steep mountain,sharp turns, downhill,no shoulder:
Only thing saved me was I was turning away from the shoulder, if not
would have gone over the side....

So, that is a requirenment ( engine continue to run with LP failure )
and easily replaced spare ( lot's of 'slightly used ' LP's in stock..

I'm not a chemical engineer, so I'm not qualified to say whether or not it matters, but the Walbro isn't designed for Diesel either.

Ph4tty,
Would you mind giving me the specifications, price, and ease of install on your pump?...I know a few 24V guys looking for a low fuel pressure cure...
Thanks!
