I T'd the line between the FF and the IP and zip tied the return line to the existing lines back to the tank vent. I just called Eric @ Vulcan for a regulator and all the lines and fittings I needed.

hey pal.......the only 6 second dragcar thats going to have a HOLLEY "ANYTHING" fuelpump on it is a bracket car that MAY run 6's in the 1/8th. I hope you realize a HOLLEY BLUE flows enough fuel @ 7.5psi to support ~600HP........hardly enough to power a 6 second car unless its a piece of wood with 4 baby carriage wheels on it.

I run a Magnafuel Pro-Star 500 on my 8 second streetcar.....a Holley blue couldnt feed its gravity fed inlet fast enough.

The Aeromotive has been great for me. I used to use Holleys with GAS on my old Z28 and the POS pumps wouldnt last a season of street driving......they've alwways been junk & always will be.

Say NO to HOLLEY

That's right! The restriction is so bad that the fuel cavitates and can no longer be pumped.

Thats your opinion of them and thats fine, and you should have known i was talking 1/8 mile being i was comparing also to a 500 hp diesel. Rather than just bash it why not answer the question, have you removed the screen before and run these pumps? Or check the screen on a pump that has failed? This is nothing to do with race cars i was just ofering my free advise on my experiense with this pumps in a diesel use situation. Diesel is dirtier and thicker than gas by simply removing the screen the pumps will operate cooler, and last longer, thats all i was saying, sure there are better pumps out there you bet, but for our application 200-500hp on the cheap they CAN do a nice job!

Contact Richard at Glacier. He has everything you need to rig up the Walbro. You will need his pressure regulator as the Walbro puts out way too much fuel pressure.

LOL i dont brag about 6 sec 1/8th mile drag cars......they dont impress me. Yes i've gutted the screens & the only thing that does is fry the POS Holley's out sooner.

That was my opinion, as we're both entitled to them

Id like to get holt of that 69 firebird, with either my Z- drag car or for that matter prob. my dodge. 6 sec. drag cars are slow to you hauh. Im surly not hung up on these holley pumps but their worth a lot more credit than you give them. Whats this Stroked-Z anyways. My weekend drag car is a 72 datsun 240. Slow is a relitive term. High 5s low 6s isnt slow at the track were i hang.

Any more info just let me know! 6's in the 1/8th is SLOW for a DRAG CAR.....considering my plated, licensed, insured, street driven 95% of the time car runs 5.60's @ 131+ in the 1/8th through 3" mufflers. This is 2007, not 1967.

Yea you run a little faster than me, but the point was you can do it on these holley pumps if you know how. In my 72 i built a 30 over 350 stand. 3.48 stroke without a power adder of any kind i run 6.3s and 9.8s. Yea I put it to gather with intention of running a 150 -225 shot but since its running well enough to put me in the money most weekends i have not put the spray on it. It should do so 5.5-5.6 on the button but thats a diff. day.

Eh, I'll stick with holley as long as I can get them at any Autozone and NOT pay the crazy $$$ they want for a POS carter. I've got my own parallel setup though, so I'm not doing just one pump on my truck.

Good idea and run tham on seperate relays so if you loss one you can still get home youll notice the press diff. in your gauge if you lose one. And i do agree on the carters they do not seem to be a very good pump. Give the ol holleys a fighting chance-just pull the screen

Still working on my Holly Blue,,, Installed in Aug, now down 5 psi.@ WOT

Did some checking: Per Holly Tech: Holly pumps must be gravity feed.
They have no Suction; OK , since the tank is lower than the frame rail
it looks like gravity feed gets iffy at about 1/4 full .... Also tech said diesel is heavy to pump, motor wears out sooner. Bottom line not a good application...

Called 'Jegg's' wanted a fuel pump for diesel: He did not recomend
many of the pumps as being Diesel friendly, says the seals get eaten by Diesel.

Checked Mallory web site, They do not recomend pumps with Alum
housings for Diesel applications...Diesel has adverse affect on alum.

Back to the drawing boards; Maybe the new Airtex replacement pump.
