Holley Blue and Big line kit

I just ordered my new Holley Blue and a vulcan Big Line kit. Should I "push" fuel to the stock LP, or just get rid of it all together? After my recent VP44 replacement, I just want the best protection I can provide.

Anyone?
I just want to know before it gets here if I should trash my stock LP, or run both. Thanks

Depends who you ask. I trashed mine, our chapter prez kept his. I run around 12psi most of the time and he runs about 26psi all the time. However if the stock one fails, your pressure will drop bad, so you'll still be dependent on the stock pump. If you get rid of it, you'll be dependent on the Holley only, which will last much longer.

Get rid of the holley blue, and get a FASS or the glacier fuel system. That holley blue can die at any time. I had mine go out on the way to terre Haute, with out any warning.

Uhh, any of them can "die" at any time. Yes, the FASS is probably the better one to go with, but your also talking $300-$500 between a FASS and a Holley. The Holley pump is tried and true just like the FASS.

I got the Holley for 85 bucks brand new still in box. I will try it first and carry the stock LP for a back up since it is only 2 months old.

Are you guys running the regulator w/the holley blue or w/out? I think w/out the psi is about 14? Any ideas?

We've always run without the regulator. Make sure you leave enough hose and a coupling barb fitting to tie the two lines together if the Holley fails or carry a spare. The stock pump will NOT pump through a Holley! The truck will not run with a dead Holley. We got lucky and hers failed while we were at the shop.
