High miles v. Bombing
I found a truck the other day that has 244k miles on it. it is super nice. New paint lift and tires. Engine has new turbo, injectors, machined intake and exaust, stacks, fireringed, rev kit, basicly everything you can think of with out twins. The trans was beefed up 8k miles ago and all the head work was done 3k miles ago and doen right. My question is it a bad buy because of the miles or does it matter. It puts out around 600-650 hp plus it looks killer. What do you guys think. To help judge here is the ad:

i bet it has less than 450 rwhp. the miles do not scare me on a truck as long as it was taken care of. but for that kind of money i would be looking at a souther truck.

Mine has 314K on it...been bomed for only 90K of them, but I've run every one of those 90K pretty hard
I agree with gunracer1...That truck has less than 450. Small Pump, 370s, 181's and a B1 only did 360 on my 95...and I have the 175 pump! With twins, it should be at or near 450+!
My truck has been in Ohio all it's life...1 rusthole in the entire cab, where on of the screws holding the door sill trim down goes through the sheet metal on the passenger side!
I wouldn't be afraid of it for rust, just look it over good!
Chris
BTW, if I had time, I'd go look at it for you! Kinda busy right now, though! Sorry!!

I agree w/ all of the above. good lookin truck but just because you twist the input shaft does not mean you have 650 horse. I would call the tranny guy that he listed and talk to him a little bit.
