high idle screw on p-pump??

okay so there is this screw on my pump that stops the throttle lever from going all the way, can i just remove that screw, and will it allow more throttle?? thanks

nope, it will actually defuel if you take that out.

Wouldn't it stay the same, as long as you're running a plate? Shouldn't the gov. arm contact the plate before it will go too far on the helix?

your looking for more fuel yet your still on the stock turbo? looks as though you have a ton of fuel already... for the turbo your running

yah i have enough fuel already, but i was just curious about the throttle stop, since i used to have a first gen motor and they had stops that kept the throttle from going all the way, i was just wondering if these pumps had the same thing, and i do plan on twins once i break in the motor and trans, gosh i hate waiting thanks for the responses

Not really.. Even the governor arm system is on a spring loaded rail. If the governor has enough jam, it can override the fuel plate, just like not having one. Removing the screw doesn't have the same effect as adding a GSK. For the money, the GSK is a better bet. With the new springs, the entire RPM band is improved for response instead of just longer pedal travel..
