High HP Auto guys chime in

I would like to know how many of you have had tranny problems with aftermarket transmissions running high horsepower, so if you could just list

1. sled pull/drag/daily driver/towing?

2. horsepower/torque level

3. any problems with tranny?

4. I don't want to start a trans war, so list your trans maker if you like

1 - Daily driver/Work Truck... have hauled up to 10,000 lb GVW! Some Lt to med towing. Drag race 4-5 times a year.

2 - 628 HP/1366 ft-lbs at last Dyno. 450 hp around town and for work!

3 - ZERO problems with my DTT in 90,000 miles. Had billet shafts put in at 80,000 miles (on the tranny) and through inspection showed light wear & tear with no excessive heat signature anywhere!

I admit to being somewhat obsessive about protecting my investment.
I change tranny filter and Amsoil ATF (the 50% (12 qts) I can drain) @ 20,000 miles. Overkill?...maybe, but it works!

1. sled pull/drag/daily driver/towing? Daily, street, drag

2. horsepower/torque level, est. around 5XX/1XXX, tons more soon with the blue bottle.

3. any problems with tranny? Bolt fell off converter

4. I don't want to start a trans war, so list your trans maker if you like, Suncoast.

Im surprised Smokinrod had problems with Suncoast. All the top drag trucks are running suncoast. I hope when my nitrous is installed my trans can take it.

Not yet...but useage will be similar to RJ. Power hopefully a bit higher, with a FULL Billet DTT. No sledpulling, just drag racing!

It'll be a while before I can afford my tranny, though!

Either the truck won't ET or the hp numbers are way high. I know that BD twins won't support that unless there's a bottle involved. How much you think your truck weighs?? Watch this. http://powerbypoole.com/Gus%20kills%20viper.wmv
