Ouch thats $160 USD. Seems a bit high. Didn't Wildcat Diesel have the high flow banjo kit for much less? Why does their website say they are not open for retail business anymore? www.wildcatdiesel.com

Probably cause they arent in business any longer.

Cant remember what the kit went for but Im sure Scottys is comparable. I believe the kit is the same. Scotty worked with Wildcat and designed it.....

Actually Scotty designed it, built it, and Wildcat Diesel Performance sold it.

What happened with Wildcat? Am I right on the $160 USD for the fuel system by scotty? For that much and a new LP why wouldn't u just go for a FASS?

I think that some guys have both the smart fuel lines and the FASS

If -8 an is 1/2", why is everyone using the -6 an? Is the 1/2" overkill? Just another newbie question.
Because the lines (and Pick up) from the tank to the Lp are only -6.

The only way to get the full benefit of -8 would be to replace the pick in the tank and the lines form the tank to the LP.

If that's the case, what's all the whoopla about the Scotty system? I've read about it and it doesn't include the pickup???? I believe Scotty's system is 1/2".

The 30R7 fuel line that you get at most any auto parts store is rated to 50psi and is relatively inexpensive. It's what I use from the tank to the VP44.

Can someone expand on what justinp20012500 said in his post? I'm confused about the benefit of going -8an.

I would like to know why as well. Justinp20012500 is right the stock pickup and hard line to the lift pump is 3/8". I don't know why the larger 8 AN lines from the lift pump to the VP would help if the supply to the lift pump is only 6 AN. How can you gain flow if you don't improve the supply . Let me clarify I am not doubting anyones product. I just don't understand why the 6 & 8 AN combo is supposed to be better.

if 1/2" line is so much better why not just put a piece of 6" pipe as a resivor right before the vp?

Will the 30r7 Fuel hose resist colapsing when a say 160 gph pump is used? I haven't done this yet due to this concern and possibly a fuel starving the ip

I've noticed that this upgrade is to increase fuel pressure from the lift pump and seems to mainly be on the 24 valve engines.
What is the benifit of doing this same upgrade on My 96? Will it increase my horsepower or torque or is this just a pump saving measure?

to greenworks I have seen 30 r7 fail in a long pull with a long run of fuel hose, most recently we put a holley pro-jection on a blazer and used 30r7 for the supply and return, it worked great till the middle of summer when it was warm it would pinch itself shut, the 50psi is just that psi not inches of vaccuum, if you put a pusher by the tank you solve the problem of the fuel line and lift pump. I have a short run of 30r7 hose being sucked through by my pusher, but if I was going to the tank I would want something to withstand the suction/heat
