High EGTS.....whats the next steep?

but don't run over 32 pounds of boost at 7200 feet (guess it from there + or -). remember, i lost 8psi from sea level up to 7200ft, so at 7200ft 32psi equals 40psi of boost obviously...i wouldn't push an hx35 beyond that since it's only creating heat past 35psi sealevel anyways.

Just easier to make that psi at sea level with more O2 molecules

sorry, my bad, i should have clarified , what i meant was is in terms of how fast that turbo is spinning. it's overspeeding at 35psig at 7200feet. at sea level, no. the turbo has to spin faster to grab the quivalent amount of oxygen the higher the altitude. whitemore ran what, 38psig? on his stock turbo in wyoming and it finally blew after a year of that. if i ran that at home here at sea level, i'd be running 46pounds of boost, wich will eventually blow because it's spinning too fast, too far out of it's efficiency range.

pondering that... Is it the speed that hurts them or maybe trying to make more pressure than they are capable of making? If it's speed only then yes I would concur. Something tells me that maybe it's heat from trying to make more pressure than they are capable of and speed is just another small factor that increases heat? Not sure...
I can pull about 29psi with hx35 in Denver with a comp, stock injectors, and boost elbow. I'm wondering what it will pull after adding mach2s? I don't tow so I'm not that worried about egt's... yet
